Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

Joining our P&C

The P&C membership is $7 per family. This helps towards the cost of affiliation & insurance for all our members and volunteers.

P&C meetings

Meeting - P&C meetings are held each month, the day and time to be confirmed at the February AGM.

Canteen

Canteen/ Tuckshop - The P&C operates a weekly canteen on the first 3 Fridays of each month. The canteen gives students the opportunity to practice money skills. Orders for all items are to be placed on a paper bag with correct money inside, or alternatively a bank deposit reference number, & given to the teacher / assistant at Breakfast Club on a Friday morning.

Uniform

School & sport polo shirts, black shorts, jackets & blue wide brimmed hats are available through the P&C. Kindergarten students receive a free school hat on their first day of school.

Payments made to P&C

Please note that payments made to the P&C cannot be made via School Bytes through the school. Payments to the P&C may be made by;

·         Cash

·         Cheque

·         Direct Deposit (contact the school or P&C for BSB and account details)

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• helping in the canteen
• getting involved in the P&C
• listening to children read in the classroom
• volunteering on sports days and other school events
• helping supervise excursions.
