The overall aims of the P&C Association are to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, teaching staff and the community into close co-operation to assist in providing equipment required by the school and to assist teaching staff in the establishment of school policy and management in all facets of school activity.
Members of the P&C meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. The Annual General Meeting is held in February each year. Parents' support during these meetings is appreciated. Meetings are held in the senior classroom. The meetings allow for discussion about topics concerning parents, staff and children. The viewpoints of those present are considered when school policies and rules are being assessed.
The Empire Vale P&C are active supporters of the school in fund raising and in planning for school improvements. Because of the benefits for the children it is hoped more parents can attend one or more of the meetings throughout the school year, this will help to ensure the P&C's continued success and assistance for the school and children.
Over the years the students have benefited from;
- school library contributions
- excursion contributions
- class readers including computer based reading resources
- subsidised the Special Swimming Scheme
- the construction of outdoor playground equipment
- covered walkways
- robotics equipment
- a coloured photocopier
Membership for the P&C is $7 per family per year. This helps towards the cost of affiliation and insurance for all our members and volunteers. The P&C has arranged for 24hr insurance cover for students. The cost of this insurance is $6.00. Please see the P&C executive for more information.
